The latest updates from Stanfield Nursing Home

Improving our residents safety and encouraging positive risk taking: In conjunction with Aid Call the UK’s foremost Nurse Call provider, we are installing an improved method of identifying when our residents require our help and assistance around the Home. In addition, the Home will install the latest technology call point panels, which clearly indicate the room and exact location of where assistance is required.

The planned construction of an additional 7 bedrooms and recreation areas is moving ahead rapidly. Work on site is due to commence before the winter months.

Pat Morris, the homes manager and the senior sister both attended a diabetic study day to ensure we are able to provide our residents who are living with diabetes, the very latest understanding of their condition and improve the quality of their lives.

Breast Cancer Bake off: The home is planning a major event to support this Charity which will be themed on and international basis, recognising the cultural diversity of our staff, more news to follow.

Following the publication of the Camilla Cavendish report, Pat Morris the homes manager, has been reviewing all our competency levels to ensure we are in line with the most recent published good practice and all our staff are meeting our residents needs with underpinning knowledge and practical skills.
